High School Programs

There are many high school programs for technical training in the automotive field, at many levels.

AYES Automotive Youth Education Systems The AYES program offers technical and academic training, paid internships and college credit! This program is currently offered locally at Capital Region BOCES with the opportunity to earn college credits through Hudson Valley Community College, Columbia-Greene Community College, Universal Technical Institute and the University of Northwestern Ohio

Capital Region BOCES also has programs in:

  • Auto Body Collision Repair
  • Auto Body Refinishing
  • Automotive Services/Small Engine Repair
  • Automotive Tech Prep/College in the High School
  • Automotive Trades Technology

Two Year Colleges

Regionally, there are excellent college programs available that offer a variety of special, manufacturer programs for Chrysler, Toyota and others, that include practical work in dealerships. There are programs in Light Maintenance and Repair through more sophisticated technical and diagnostic work.
